Rudy Bush

Rudy Bush is vice president and editorial page editor for The Dallas Morning News. A native of Mobile, Ala., he is a graduate of the University of Dallas. Rudy got his start in journalism at The San Antonio Express-News, where he covered the Texas Hill Country before taking a cub reporter role at The Chicago Tribune. He worked in Chicago, Washington and New York as a national correspondent. Rudy returned to Dallas in 2007 to cover local government for the News. He has been editorial page editor since 2022, overseeing the paper's opinion pages.    

Dr. Justin H. Lonon

Chancellor, Dallas College

Dr. Justin H. Lonon is the eighth chancellor of Dallas College, one of the nation’s largest community colleges. Since March 2022, he has led the institution with a bold vision to build a “22nd Century College,” an innovative, barrier-busting model designed to meet the evolving needs of students, employers, and communities as Dallas College marks its 60th anniversary.

Under his leadership, Dallas College has accelerated its transformation into a unified, forward-thinking institution. Key initiatives include expanding bachelor’s degrees in high-demand fields, launching sector strategies aligned with nine major North Texas industries, creating the Dallas College Speakers Bureau, and forming strategic partnerships such as the Dallas Transfer Collaborative to strengthen transfer pathways. He has also advanced philanthropic and civic engagement efforts, increasing resources and national visibility.

Previously, Dr. Lonon served in senior leadership roles at Dallas College and helped guide its transition from seven colleges to one. He holds degrees from Missouri State University, the University of North Texas, and the University of Maryland Global Campus.

G.A. Pivik

Managing Director & Regional Head, Scotiabank Dallas

George (G.A.) Pivik is Managing Director and Regional Head, Dallas, for Scotiabank’s Global Banking and Markets, where he leads the growth and operations of the firm’s regional hub and strengthens community engagement.

Previously, he was SVP and Head of Transformation and Strategy for Service and Operations at LPL Financial, and spent over a decade at JPMorgan Chase in senior transformational leadership roles, including Managing Director and Global Head of Client Experience for Treasury Services, Wholesale Loans, and Commercial Banking. He also held senior positions in Corporate Compliance and KYC.

A former U.S. Army cavalry officer and strategist, G.A. led combat tours in Iraq and Bosnia, served as a brigade chief of staff, taught at Georgetown, and worked at the Pentagon and the White House. He is a Ranger and Airborne-qualified veteran.

G.A. holds a bachelor’s and three master’s degrees, is a former White House Fellow (2003–2004), and a term member of the Council on Foreign Relations.

Brad Cheves

President & CEO, Dallas Regional Chamber

Brad E. Cheves is President and CEO of the Dallas Regional Chamber, where he leads efforts to drive economic growth, strengthen talent pipelines, and advocate for a pro-business public policy environment across the Dallas–Fort Worth region. He brings extensive senior leadership experience at the intersection of strategy, public affairs, communications, and community engagement.

Before joining the Chamber, Brad served as Senior Vice President for Development and External Affairs at Southern Methodist University, where he was the university’s chief development officer and led SMU Ignited, a $1.656 billion comprehensive campaign that exceeded its goal years ahead of schedule—one of the largest in the history of Texas private universities. He also played a key role in bringing the George W. Bush Presidential Center to the SMU campus.

With deep experience in public affairs and policy engagement, Brad brings a pragmatic, business-focused lens to strengthening the Dallas Region’s long-term competitiveness.
