Big Ideas. Bold Action.

Downtown Dallas is entering a pivotal period of investment, growth, and change — and DDI is working to help shape that future, not just respond to it.

On June 2, 2026, DDI hosted the first stakeholder workshop for Big Ideas. Bold Action. Downtown Vision 2036, bringing together more than 100 participants — business owners, developers, residents, civic leaders, and community stakeholders — to help define Downtown’s next era.

After an opening presentation on the initiative’s goals, participants split into table discussions led by top Dallas architecture, planning, and design professionals. Each group examined where Downtown is already making progress, where challenges remain, and what bold action could accelerate its future.

Ideas ranged across development, mobility, public space, safety, culture, and economic vitality — all grounded in the everyday experience of living, working, and investing Downtown.

These conversations will directly inform the next phase of the Vision 2036 initiative as DDI works with partners to define priorities and catalytic opportunities.
