No, this isn’t another nightclub. YES! This is the acclaimed BODIES exhibit – at the West End Marketplace. Thousands of visitors, welcome to Downtown Dallas! Here’s an excerpt from the press release:
WORLD RENOWNED “BODIES…THE EXHIBITION” TO OPEN IN DALLAS
Exhibition Offers Amazing Look Inside The Human Body With Over 250 Real Human Specimens in Nine Galleries to Be On Display
Opens November 21 at Dallas’ West End Marketplace
Premier Exhibitions, Inc. (NASDAQ:PRXI) announced today that BODIES…The Exhibition will open on Saturday, November 21, at the West End MarketPlace, 603 Munger Avenue, in Dallas’ historic West End. This will be the first visit to Texas by this international show which is currently receiving worldwide acclaim and attracting nearly 15 million visitors from cities including New York, Washington DC, Las Vegas, London, Madrid, Sao Paulo and more. The Exhibition will remain in Dallas through April 2010.
The Exhibition takes visitors through nine galleries with nine full body specimens providing an up-close look inside the skeletal, muscular, reproductive, respiratory, circulatory and other systems of the human body. Many of the whole body specimens are dissected in vivid athletic poses, allowing the visitor to relate to everyday activities. In addition, authentic human specimens illustrate the damage caused to organs by over-eating and lack of exercise. A healthy lung is featured next to a black lung ravaged by smoking in a vivid comparison more powerful than any textbook image.
Tickets are now on sale and are available at www.bodiestickets.com. Individual tickets range from $24 to $10 with special prices for children, seniors, students and groups.
