Downtown Dallas, Inc. is pleased to announce the promotion of two of its team members.
Martin Cramer has been named Vice President – Public Safety, and Kimberly Borondy has been named Director – Financial Services. “As Downtown Dallas, Inc. continues to evolve to meet the changing needs of Downtown, it is critical that our team consist of the ‘best and brightest,’” said John F. Crawford, President & CEO. “We are fortunate that Martin and Kimberly continue to excel in their positions, adding expertise and value to our members and constituents.” Martin Cramer joined the DDI team in 2009, bringing over 20 years of experience in commercial real estate security and life safety to the organization’s public safety efforts. In his current role, Cramer manages the 45-member Downtown Safety Patrol, the Downtown Emergency Response Team (DERT), the DDI Public Safety Committee and all issues related to ensuring a positive quality of life for Downtown residents, employees and visitors. Cramer also works hand in hand with the Dallas Police Department, City of Dallas Crisis Intervention Team and the Metro Dallas Homeless Alliance. He has grown the DERT membership by more than 200 members during his tenure and received an International Downtown Association award for the program. Cramer is active in several professional organizations including the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS), the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), and the Downtown Security Directors Association (DSDA). He is a Board Certified Protection Professional (CPP).
Kimberly Borondy has been a member of the DDI team since 1997, involved in every aspect of the organization’s financial and administrative affairs. As Director of Financial Services, Borondy oversees the financial operations of all DDI affiliates including The DDI Association, The Improvement District, Dallas Civic Ventures, the Downtown Safety Patrol and the Dallas Arts District. She works closely with the DDI Board of Directors and Finance Committee to set and monitor annual budgets; the City of Dallas to ensure accurate contract compliance and reporting; and Dallas County to project, assess and collect Improvement District funds. Her background includes nearly 15 years experience in Accounting, Finance and Human Resources. Prior to DDI, Borondy managed the business affairs for a clinical psychiatrist and best-selling author, traveling across the world to work directly with top name speakers, authors and clients focused on children with special needs. Borondy is a Certified Microsoft Administrator, and her volunteer activities include work with the North Texas Clean Air Coalition, Downtown Residents Council, Capital One Bank Adolphus Children’s Parade, and the Dallas Police Association – Assist the Officer Foundation.
