The new AT&T Discovery District in Downtown Dallas has brought new life to the area. From WarnerMedia showcases in the lobby to selfies from the Friends set in the AT&T Experience Store, live music on the Jaxon patio, relaxing on the lawn, upscale dining at Hawthorn or casual bites at The Exchange, there is something for everyone to enjoy at the new AT&T Discovery District.

DINING

Jaxon Texas Kitchen & Beer Garden

If you’re craving southern favorites, JAXON is a great spot to catch some live music while enjoying delicious drinks and food on the patio. Sporting modern Texas fare and over 40 draft tap options, JAXON will feel like a home away from home. The restaurant’s name is inspired by the legend of the Jackalope who once roamed the Dallas plains before commerce took over.  There is live music every Thursday, Friday and Saturday, brunch on Saturdays and Sundays and happy hour specials Monday – Friday (plus anytime it’s raining!), all on an expansive patio where it is easy to maintain social distance.

Hawthorn

Experience fine-dining in one of AT&T Discovery District’s newest establishments. Hawthorn will set the standard for what it means to combine upscale dining with a down-home, relatable atmosphere, becoming the essential place to be and be seen in Dallas’ emerging downtown landscape. The luxuriously designed space will have a large side patio, main dining, breakfast dining, and a large bar. Hawthorn is the perfect setting to host your breakfast meeting, impress clients for dinner, or enjoy a night out. Outfitted in a sea of hawthorn berry red, brass, and large floor-to-ceiling windows, Hawthorn will impress your guests for any and every private event.

Rise + Thyme

Rise + Thyme offers a chance to escape the mundane with lattes and croissants presented by one of the best chefs in America, Amanda Freitag. Graduating from the renowned Culinary Institute of America, Freitag has been a highly successful chef in New York City for more than 20 years. She appears on Food Network as a Chopped judge, a co-host of American Diner Revival and has battled Bobby Flay on Iron Chef America. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to try food and drink from one of the best.

Second Floor at The Exchange

When visiting the Second Floor at the Exchange Hall, you’re not entering a single entity, rather a collaborative space composed of three contributing parts: Ounce, Ichi Ni San & Hard Shake. A three-part affair exhibiting the best of contemporary Japanese, tapas-style new American cuisine, complemented by innovative craft cocktails alongside an elegant wine program.

Experience quality and variety in a one-of-a-kind setting at Ounce, a small plate concept designed for guests to experience a little bit of everything with their tapas-style menu, packed with a mixture of European & Mediterranean inspirations with influences from Chef Zenner’s extensive history in the kitchen.

Find both elegance and sophistication within Hard Shake. Enjoy a perfectly crafted cocktail in an equally enchanting environment with its vintage art deco and modern, elevated twist.

Enjoy a contemporary, nontraditional take on Japanese food inspired by season at Ichi Ni San.

And if that wasn’t enough, the entire Exchange Hall will be open soon with over a dozen new eateries!

ENTERTAINMENT

AT&T Experience Store

Perhaps one of the most unique and interesting aspects of the AT&T Discovery District, the AT&T Experience store is an interactive space designed to bring your favorite shows and movies to life while you can shop for the latest in smartphones and accessories. Currently on display, the Central Perk set with the iconic couch from Friends. Could you BE more excited?

In addition, discover Black Future Makers in the Dream In Black exhibit. The installation marks a celebration of the aspirations for Black culture, brought to life through the invigorating artwork of local Dallas artist, Temi Coker.

HBO Max Orbit

Right next door to the AT&T Experience Store is HBO Max Orbit. You can explore HBO Max’s library—titles from HBO, Warner Bros., DC, Cartoon Network and more—highlighting the breadth and depth of the catalog. Once you step inside, more than 85,000 scenes clipped from HBO Max series and films including “Game of Thrones,” “Lovecraft Country,” “Love Life,” “Big Bang Theory,” “The Looney Tunes Show” and “Tom and Jerry” will come to life with arm movements or a few spoken words.

AT&T Showcase

Take a step back in time and visit the original Tonight Show with Johnny Carson set at the AT&T Showcase inside the AT&T Lobby. Sit behind the famous desk or pretend to be a Hollywood star. Either way, make sure a friend announces your entrance with a hearty, “Here’s… Johnny!”

AMBIENCE

The AT&T District area is beautiful in and of itself. Visit the Globe, an LED light and sound experience meant to represent AT&T’s ability to connect people around the world. Then, you can become awestruck by the 104-ft-tall Media Wall. At the corner of Jackson and Akard, this 6k resolution panel brings digital art to life in staggering detail that can be seen from over six blocks away. Of course, the district wouldn’t be complete without the lightning fast 5G wi-fi which is available throughout the district.
