Dallas Black Dance Theatre Presents: RISING EXCELLENCE

Twenty-five years of artistic brilliance converge on the Moody Performance Hall stage as DBDT: Encore! returns home for Rising Excellence!

This two-night only special anniversary performance features world premieres of emerging choreographer Cameron Jade Harris’s poignant “Mama’s Chair” and the acclaimed co-founder of Deeply Rooted Dance Theater Kevin Iega Jeff’s visceral “Church of Nations” alongside signature works from the company’s illustrious repertoire.

Each evening will showcase different works from the company’s distinguished history, including Nicolas Villeneuve’s colorful The “Art of Waiting”, Christopher L. Huggins masterful Chaos, Richard A. Freeman, Jr.’s reflective “Unsettled Thoughts”, Zach Law Ingram’s incandescent “Phoenix”, and the sweeping “Tidal Intersections” by Katarzyna Skarpetowska.
