Concept: This work is about the hidden and known struggles pitted against all women in society. Inside of the woman’s thoughts and feelings resides this notion to be more like the “other”. However, this conflict is rarely spoken out loud leaving the possibility to achieve a calm resolve impossible. Conflicted Resolve is an outward expression of this battle and internalized competition. Through the simple use of verbal and physical movement, a journey toward mutual respect and understanding will be visually revealed

7:00 PM / Nik Parr

Nik Parr’s original music is a high-energy piano-driven rock n’ roll endeavor with strong soul, funk and blues influences. Parr’s band is built around his piano playing and singing, with an ear for catchy, danceable and widely appealing new songs. The show is made even more unique, as Nik switches seamlessly from the saxophone to the piano in between singing, working the crowd, and directing his band.

For five years, Nik Parr toured with his full band under the name The Selfless Lovers. The group performed throughout Texas. As the band progressed, they played out of state, with performances in Oklahoma, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, Florida and Georgia in addition to their regular Texas touring. The group’s current roster includes longtime drummer Daniel Warner, lead guitarist Keegan Flynn, bassist Evan Durr and guitarist Mishaun Bhakta. The band’s newest album “When The Bars Close,” showcases bassist Augie Gmitter in addition to backing vocals by Kelly Khun and Tory Niemann.

8:00 PM / Sir Woman

To say that Sir Woman has taken the crowded Austin music scene by storm this past year, would be a massive understatement. With the release of their full-length self-titled debut, the band has quickly skyrocketed to headliner status at Austin’s most venerable clubs, and garnered Artist Of The Year at the 2023 Austin Music Awards. The rolling funk/soul ensemble began as a solo vehicle for Wild Child/Glorietta vocalist Kelsey Wilson a mere two years ago. Their dynamic and joyful stage show led to quick buzz, with their recorded catalog quickly catching up to the acclaim (over 30m plays on Spotify alone).

Please note: Outside food, beverages, and furniture are not permitted. ’til Midnight takes place rain or shine. In the vent of inclement weather, concerts and films will be moved indoors.
