David Karr is the Senior executive at Hines Interest. He’s responsible for leasing, marketing, and project management of development projects in the Dallas office of the Southwest Region. Since joining Hines in 2008, Mr. Karr has contributed to the development, acquisition, and/or management of more than 5 million square feet of commercial real estate within the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, including One Victory Park office building in uptown Dallas, and Chase Tower in the Arts District of Dallas.
Having started his career as en engineer in the construction industry, Mr. Karr has been responsible for the construction project management of millions of square feet of retail, telecom, hospitality, and office projects across the United States. Mr. Karr’s former employers include Hillwood, developers of Victory Park in Dallas and Alliance Airport in Ft. Worth, and The Beck Group, a general contractor active in Dallas since 1947.
Mr. Karr is a LEED-Accredited Professional and is a part-time lecturer at both the Cox Graduate School of Business at SMU and at the College of Business at UT-Arlington on real estate development-related topics. Mr. Karr is a graduate of Texas Tech University College of Engineering.
